This past weekend I participated in intense work with fellow colleagues from Colorado and across the nation. #TeacherChampions is part of the amazing organization known as Collaborative for Student Success and Educators for Higher Standards. What I love about this opportunity is the value and collaboration that occurs. Now, I have been to Washington, D.C. multiple times, and each time I come back more excited and refueled to be an educator and impact the profession. Working with so many amazing educators is a blessing and gift. I'm grateful to be surrounded by these stellar leaders and learn so much from them. From the discussions to free time, I have the opportunity to hear so many perspectives of what is happening in other schools across the nation. I'm able to gain further insight on how I can impact and change the profession for my students and colleagues. Being an educator requires me to be updated and innovative. Our world is changing rapidly and so are our students. I enjoy attending conferences and workshops to sharpen my instruction and work towards engaging my students to be great leaders for the future. What would the world be like with out teachers. Well, check out this video here. It was a great weekend of learning. It was a great weekend of discovering how I can impact the educational profession. It was a great weekend to be surrounded with so many educators on the same mission...Elevate the Voices of All Educators. Thank you to Katrina and all the #TeacherChampions who I engaged working with this weekend. Thank you for the friendship, the advice, and the leadership. Until next time, may all educators unite and do what is best for ALL our students.
